Women’s General Assembly
March 8th is traditionally International Women’s Day. This year, for the first time, the following day, March 9th, is a women’s strike day.
On this occasion, the women’s and equal opportunities officers at Charité have organized an event to raise awareness of the living and working conditions of female employees and students and to explore new approaches together.
- What happens when women go on strike?
- What if they refuse to perform their daily work in nursing, in hospitals, in academia, or within their families?
- What would Charité look like?
- What would society look like?
Together, we want to discuss and explore these and other questions.
We will also be showing the film “A Day Without Women,” which tells the story of the great women’s strike in Iceland in 1975.
