Together, in the diversity of our experiences, backgrounds, and generations, we celebrate and protest on International Women’s Day, Sunday (!!) , March 8, 2026. The following day, Monday, March 9, we call for a WOMEN’S GENERAL STRIKE, with diverse forms of protest and action.
We say
ENOUGH!
The time has come. For a protest as diverse as we are.
As visible as the problems themselves. A necessary response to the never-ending wars waged by autocrats who, in unison, disregard dissenters, human rights, international law, and freedom of expression and the press — who deny the climate catastrophe, exploit people and nature, and accumulate unimaginable wealth. All of this goes hand in hand with the growing threat, impoverishment, and discrimination of women* in all their diversity. It is time for a roar of protest! For a powerful, united ENOUGH! GENUG! BASTA!
We have ENOUGH!
…of those who seek to rule and divide the world among themselves — their cronies, profiteers, imitators, followers, autocrats, oligarchs, tycoons, moguls.
…of those who trample international law underfoot.
…of heir weapons, chemical, fossil fuel, automotive, and agribusiness industries.
…of their toxic masculinity, inseparable from contempt, disenfranchisement, violence against dissenters, and fantasies of domination over nature.
More and more women*, from very different backgrounds and perspectives, in different corners of the world, are focusing their thoughts and energy on a GLOBAL WOMEN* GENERAL STRIKE on MARCH 9, 2026.
Who we are?
We are a loose group of women* and a few men* and have founded a platform for the STRIKE on March 9, 2026. We now have almost 1,000 women* (and still few men*) working in regional groups or within their organisations for their ENOUGH!.
How to participate?
Every ENOUGH! counts. You can get involved in different ways: take part in one of the events on offer, or come up with your own strike action. Suggestions are listed below. Find your regional group — or start one group yourself.
