On March 8–9, 2026, ENOUGH! is calling for a GLOBAL WOMEN*S GENERALSTRIKE . In 1975, 90% of all Icelandic women proved that one day without them makes a difference! While they fought for their own rights back then, today we can join forces and expand our solidarity. Whether against violence, war, poverty, loneliness, discrimination, fake news, the erosion of diversity and knowledge, or political regression: ENOUGH! Enough is enough! Women around the world will stop working for one day on March 9, 2026—from care work to paid jobs. Doing nothing says: YOU CAN’T COUNT ON US. In solidarity, anger turns into strength and diversity becomes collective power: We want change and responsibility!

March 9 – WOMEN’S STRIKE DAY*

From nine to five (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Strike lounge for all strikers in the workshop and courtyard of the neues theater: Play instead of work, do nothing, listen to readings, share information, and join forces.
