We want to symbolically stop work together to draw attention to the ever-challenging social situation for women*/FLINTA*. \nTherefore\, as is already a good and very important tradition these days\, we will meet at 10 a.m. in front of the university to raise the flag together. DESCRIPTION:We protest: Unmarried mothers do not have the right to decide to raise their child alone. Any mother who does not want joint custody with the father risks losing custody and\, in the worst case\, her child. This is particularly devastating for mothers who are victims of violence and mothers in separation situations. These women are particularly often affected by violence. The daily lives of mothers are made disproportionately complicated by compulsory joint custody. \nWe protest against these laws\, which provoke and escalate custody disputes.\nMothers must not be harmed and disenfranchised by laws.\nWe demand the withdrawal of legislation that endangers mothers and children and disempowers mothers.

The ‘Enough!’ initiative plans for women to stop all work\, both paid and unpaid\, and to protest on this day. Each woman can decide for herself whether to take the whole day off\, a few hours\, or simply not do what she usually does. Others can take over on 9 March. Together\, we will stand up against systemic devaluation\, unpaid care work\, the gender pay gap\, sexual and domestic violence\, femicide\, war and homophobia. \nWe stand up for gender equality\, economic self-determination\, and sexual and reproductive rights; active and passive voting rights; equal participation in politics; access to education; and a dignified\, self-determined life for all women.\nOur thoughts are with those deprived of their freedom and self-determination in countries such as Iran\, Afghanistan and Sudan. \nThe Feminism Working Group of the Marburg Network for Democracy and Against Right-Wing Extremism invites you to join them at Rotkehlchen at 11 a.m. under the motto ‘We are half’. We will celebrate together and enjoy breakfast and brunch from the open buffet. SUMMARY:Lunchtime strike: Solidarity with single mothers
DESCRIPTION:Contrary to popular belief\, women*\, and especially single mothers*\, are doing more care work than ever before\, despite increasing participation in the workforce. Single mothers in particular bear the long-term consequences of care work being distributed unequally and unfairly between the sexes: statistically speaking\, they are more likely to be affected by poverty. Care work is not a lifestyle choice! The most vulnerable members of society are cared for\, educated\, and empowered through care work. This work is underpaid and undervalued.\nWe will discuss this issue together during our lunch break strike. We are looking for solutions to make care work easier in everyday life and\, as a lobby association\, we are expressing our political demands. \nThis is an event organized by the Association of Single Mothers and Fathers of Rhineland-Palatinate (VAMV).\nSpeaker: Dr. Melanie Oehl\, VAMV supervisory board member\, educational scientist\, and systemic consultant. \nParticipation is free of charge.
